The Missing Pen reminds us that the greatest joys in life are found in the simplest of things and what seems like a non-issue to an adult is sometimes very valuable for a child. In the last story, The Author in a Meadow, Dhrubi reflects on her own desire to be an author and reminds the reader of the importance of passion in achieving one’s goals.

Dhrubi is an 8-year-old who finds great joy in asking questions, seeking answers and imagining a world where nothing is impossible- be it finding a unicorn, swimming with a mermaid, or flying into the deep blue sky like a shooting star. She loves to curl up in a corner with a packet full of chips and get immersed in the world created by her favorite authors Roald Dahl, Enid Blyton and Bill Watterson. Her questions about the world around her are limitless and she loves to pen down the facts that she collects in her little diary. She is a student of Shiv Nadar School, Noida, India and the school, the teachers and her friends have been a great source of joy for her. She lives in New Delhi with her parents, little sister and maternal as well as paternal grandmothers.
