I am a runner, who observes and relates the daily happenings in and around to the beautiful sports of running. We all train so hard, if your training is laced with laughter and smile, it adds an extra josh. Have you ever traversed the 42.195 kms of Mumbai Marathon in to a route map synonym to Mumbai with description of each kms or have you thought how will the dialogues of iconic film sholay interrelate to marathon running or have you thought what would be going on in the mind of various people when you run a marathon . BHAGH as the title of the book is the collection of Bijay’s Hilarious Anecdotes , Gags and Humour. With advent of Social Media , running became much more popular and hence a humour writer like me could put in my creative hat to unleash few of the observations. Lt Cdr Bijay Nair (R) , 43 is an alumnus of Indian Naval Academy , MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management (JBIMS), a Fauji to the core , engineer and MBA , bit educated, author , storyteller, anchor , blogger, motivational speaker fluctuating weight is his forte being a Hypothyroid. Inorder to keep his thyroid under check , he embraced distance running as a medium . His family is still searching the endocrinologist who advised running as a hobby sports . Distance running though was very essential core of his training in Fauj and thereafter, however he started deriving solace and also to keep his weight in check. His family and friends would search him and they would run after him. The success of his debut book, #TheyInspire, in 2016 which sold more than 3000 copies, inspired him to compile his humorous writing of 10 years on running, runners and the running environment. Many of the compilation in this book has been read and shared by runners across India multiple times on Facebook and Watsapp . Many a time he himself had received his writings and anecdotes on WhatsApp, that mentioned a must read article . He has been running for last 10 years and is a finisher of the ultimate human race, comrades in 2019. Besides, he has run 10kms, many Half, Full and Ultramarathons. When he is not running on road, he runs for his livelihood. Bijay lives in Mumbai with his wife, Mala, and daughter, Shloka and Parents.
