G. Jayashankar Menon, Sanjana Jayashankar
The author G Jayashankar Menon, is aged 55 and a banker by profession. He has a keen eye for detail and fathoms into the travails of everyday life. The poetry he writes is mainly appealing to the modern urban reader, and his writing style has been influenced by many artists including rock music. His approach to the writing can sometimes be evinced as a bit too casual, but the inner meanings and the intent surfaces upon completion of the last word. The first book, Karmic Flavours, was a moderate success and showcased his talent. The sequel, Plain Lavender, made him a mainstream author and poet.
Sanjana J is the coauthor of the book. The poems convey her great talent and artistic leanings as a writer, whom one could look forward to in the coming days! She is aged 17 and studies 12th grade at St. Claret PU College, Bengaluru.
