Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalCrucial Pharmacology Trends Volume 1: Introduction to Clinical Pharmacology
Edited by Dr. Shiva Murthy N, Dr. Syed Shehnaz Ilyas, Dr. Melvin George, Dr. Phulen Sarma, and Dr. J. Thirunavukkarasu, this volume bridges the gap between fundamental pharmacological science and its clinical application. As medicine advances with innovations like genomics and personalized therapies, clinical pharmacology becomes indispensable in optimizing patient outcomes.
This comprehensive guide provides postgraduate students with a strong foundation in clinical pharmacology, covering drug mechanisms, interactions, and safety principles within real-world settings. It highlights critical topics such as off-label drug use, paradoxical pharmacology, and drug interactions, alongside emerging trends like biosimilars, reverse pharmacology, and chronopharmacology. Additionally, it addresses practical challenges like antimicrobial stewardship, medication errors, and tailored drug therapy for vulnerable populations, including the elderly.
Through its structured and concise approach, the book ensures learners grasp both theoretical and practical aspects of clinical pharmacology, essential for academic success and impactful clinical practice. This volume is a vital resource for students aspiring to excel in postgraduate exams, contribute to innovative research, and deliver patient-centric healthcare solutions.
