Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a big field, and this is a big book. We have tried to explore the full breadth of the field, which encompasses logic, probability, and continuous mathematics; perception, reasoning, learning, and action; and everything from microelectronic devices to robotic planetary explorers. The book is also big because we go into some depth in presenting results, although we strive to cover only the most central ideas in the main part of each chapter. Pointers are given to further results in the bibliographical notes at the end of each chapter.
This book presents almost all the components of AI like problem solving, search techniques, knowledge concepts, expert system and many more in a very simple language. One of the unique features of this book is inclusion of number of solved examples; in between the chapters and also at the end of many chapters. Real life examples have been discussed to make the reader conversant with the intricate phenomenon of computer science in general, and artificial intelligence in particular. The book is primarily developed for undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students.

Dr. Shaik Mohammad Rafi received his B.Tech degree in Computer Science and engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, Andhrapradesh, M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University , Guntur, Andhrapradesh and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University , Guntur, Andhrapradesh.
Dr. I. Kadar Shereef, done his Under-Graduation(B.Sc., Mathematics) in NGM College, Post-Graduation (MCA) in Trichy Jamal Mohamed College and Master of Philosophy Degree in Periyar University (distance education). He completed his Ph.D., in Computer Science in Dravidian University, Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh. Also, he is working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology, The New College (Autonomous), Chennai.
Mr. Omer Bin Hussain, is currently working as a Lecturer in Department of Computer Science, College of Computer Science, King Khalid University, Abha – Saudi Arabia. He has received his BSc in Computer Science from Gulbarga University, MCA from Kuvempu University and is pursuing his doctorate - Ph.D. in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University respectively.
Dr. A. Prakash is an Associate Professor at QIS College of Engineering & Technology, Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, India. He received his Ph.D. from Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Anna University, Chennai in 2018 and M. Tech (Power Electronics and Drives) from PRIST University, Thanjavur in the year 2011. He received his B.E in Electrical Engineering from Sri Nandhanam College of Engineering and Technology, Tirupattur, Vellore Dist., in the year 2005. He has more than 13 years of experience in Teaching, Research and Industry.
