Jacob Peedicayil

Jacob Peedicayil was born in Bangalore (now called Bengaluru) in 1961, but grew up in Vellore, India. He attained an undergraduate degree in medicine in 1984 and a postgraduate degree in pharmacology in 1991, both from Christian Medical College, Vellore. From 1993 to 1995 he underwent training in cell and molecular biology in Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad. In addition to teaching pharmacology to undergraduate and postgraduate students, he has conducted theoretical research in epigenetics and experimental research in pharmacology. He is an amateur western flautist and enjoys reading.
