PRADEEP R. BIJWE
Prof. Pradeep R. Bijwe worked as a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi for almost 40 years. He believed in and practiced spirituality right from a young age. During teaching, he observed that most students studied because of the fear of missing out on grades and opportunities to get good jobs, considering stress inevitable for success. Their idea of happiness depended on success first, which created many problems, making them unhappy until some success was achieved. Based on his experience, he wanted to share his vision of an alternative, healthier approach to learning to be happy without dependence on external factors through simple daily practices that do not take much time. With this approach, one can develop the qualities for improving chances of success in every field. In the last decade, he began sharing his ideas with the students about this approach. He developed a webpage, "Joyful Living," and counseled several students regarding issues that made them unhappy. He also delivered many lectures on this subject to the students of I.I.T. Delhi, I.I.T. Jammu, and I.I.T. Indore.
