I was born in Mumbai in India where I grew up and went to school. I left India aged 18 and after a year at the University of Göttingen settled in London, where I have lived ever since. I am retired and (pre-Covid) travelled extensively, visiting Mumbai in most years.
I have a degree in Medieval History from the University of London and have had a variety of jobs including Bollywood movie extra (as a teenager, unknown to my long-suffering parents), labourer and forklift truck driver (while at university), and freelance accountant.
I am retired and my passions are writing, history, and music. While writing is my overwhelming interest, I also meet regularly with friends to play jazz.
