‘Ink and Colours’ by emerging poet Rangne Sorang has fifty heartfelt poems accompanied by monochrome illustrations drawn by the author herself, which enhances the emotions of her compositions.

‘An elegy’, my favorite of the lot, is powerful, incisive and tragic. It is about a parent who lost a beloved daughter, who pens a letter to the man responsible for the loss.

‘Dear son,

The flower you destroyed today

Was the only flower in my garden

The only one that I watered

The only hope I lived for.’
