Prof. RVM. Chokkalingam is a former Curator/Scientist and now @ 77 is a local professor and a practical philosopher living in Bangalore. He has been a science communicator for over 50 years with a demonstrable life-time contribution in Public Engagement with Science. His essential pathways to embrace people-centered science experiences include Museum-type activities, Hands-on experiments, Science fair- projects, Science teachers’- workshops, and popular science- writings in newspapers and magazines. He has authored several popular science books and science activity books. He is the recipient of Karnataka State Award for Science Communication in 2012.
