Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThis book is a collection of poems that speak about a range of things – from life to love to everything in between. The poems explore the essence of human life, the intricacy of human emotion, poetry as an art in itself and what it means to the author. It is the protagonist’s journey of understanding herself, of making sense of her hopes, dreams and struggles.
Our journeys are unique and the possibilities are endless. As one of the poems says “We’re many things at once” and we’re all on the path to becoming our own person. The author uses poetry to shed light on the emotional turmoil of growing up, the need to normalize talk about mental health and the revival of empathy. It’s okay to not know, it’s okay to take your time, it’s okay to feel, it’s okay to seek help and it’s okay to love.

When she’s not lost in thought by the ocean somewhere, Ayra can be found buried in work, watching a movie or reading a book. She’s an Economics and Statistics major from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai with a penchant for words. She’s from the quaint town of Calicut in Kerala, historically described as the Land of the Zamorins or the City of Truth. She loves to travel, is a rom-com junkie and a passionate foodie with a huge sweet tooth. She writes about people, places, emotions and experiences that are close to her heart. In her spare time, she can be found chasing sunsets, penning down poetry or collecting daisies. Writing a book has always been on her bucket list, and this is her debut collection of poetry.
