Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalIt is one of the most enduring of questions – what makes a life well-lived?
While for some, the answer entails the accrual of wealth or power; for most of us, it lies in how we choose to experience the simpler pleasures and challenges of everyday events. Encompassed within this narrative are wisdom and insight collated from relatable, practical, and sometimes amusing incidents in an eventful life; from cherished memories of a happy childhood in 1950s Pune, through the experiences of a budding teenager attending a study-abroad program, to adulthood and maturity in the company of a husband, who was more than a companion, a teacher, a guide and above all, a friend, the author shares valuable lessons learned along the way. Integral to that learning has been her encounters with some of the finest teachers of Indian philosophy and culture, including the invaluable time spent at the Lotus feet of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Neiloo Prasad
Smt. Neiloo Prasad is a long-time resident of Bengaluru City, where she continues to work as a partner in a law firm. In her free time, she enjoys music, reading and sharing time with friends and relatives, and she is passionate about her garden, highlighting a deep love for plants seeded in her childhood by her grandmother in Pune. Over a lifetime spanning seven decades, she has served multiple roles, from that of a teenage high-school student representing her country in the United States under the auspices of the American Field Service in the 1960s to that of a wife, mother, lawyer, teacher, intrepid traveler, and caregiver. Through it all, she has had the uncommon opportunity to interact with, and learn from, a multitude of individuals and teachers of deep spiritual underpinnings from across India. These experiences and teachings, distilling the wisdom of the ages, have shielded, and guided her through life; and contrary to requiring in any way a withdrawal from the challenges of daily life, they have informed, enriched, and elevated the tasks and responsibilities those various roles demanded of her. It is with anticipation that others might similarly benefit from these experiences that she has written this short book.
