An architect hailing from the Queen of Hills “Shimla,” Nikita Bisht is a lover of discovering and writing stories that take you to a whole new world of imagination and drama. Nikita graduated from Chandigarh with a Bachelor of Architecture only to discover how everything has its own story, including the structures or non-living things that humans create. In her early days, she was a curious listener to old folks and tales narrated by her grandmother, Dadi Amma, who made her fall in love with the fictional world through the art of storytelling. With time, she developed a great taste for supernatural stories that were full of jump scares. She lost her grandma to the COVID period in 2020, and it’s when she realised that stories are the ones that she still has as her memories and that she too can create a bond of emotions and can let her own stories live longer than her life. Although her life had turned quite messy and depressing when she came up with the idea of this book of hers, this didn’t stop her from recreating her Grandma’s love for storytelling. And yes, this definitely made her take a new, refreshing start in her self-discovery journey.
