Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace A Guide to The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013

Author Name: Deepa Rafeeque | Format: Paperback | Genre : Educational & Professional | Other Details

The sexual harassment of woman at the workplace is a highly debated topic in the society. Of late, cases are being reported on a daily basis from every corner of the country. There could be many instances which are not reported. Though the action on receiving such complaints is yet to bring an apparent change in the workplace, it’s being noted. One reason appears to be ignorance of the law for all connected parties. Whether, it’s an aggrieved woman or a man who is said to be a perpetrator, or an organisation or an institution, one cannot act unless the provisions of the law are known.

The Guide on The Sexual Harassment of Women (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act,2013 is a simple guide and a reference book. Our aim through this book is to bridge the gap between the law and the people connected to it. The book can be used as a ‘ready reckoner’ for every woman out there for work or otherwise, for every man to understand his limitations, and for management to provide a safe and secure workplace to every woman.

It covers the basic legal provisions of the Act and the rules, the complaint handling process, and the measures to be taken by management for the prevention and prohibition of sexual harassment of woman at the workplace.  This will be helpful for a common person, employer, training institutes, and NGOs working for woman upliftment.
