Johnson Stephen, hailing from Usilampatti, is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature, Arul Anandar College (Autonomous), Karumathur, since 2017. Having completed his Master's Degree, Master of Philosophy in Thiagarajar College (Autonomous), Madurai, he worked on the title "Sub-consciousness as a Reality: A Jacques Lacanian Approach to the Select Novels of D. H. Lawrence" for his Doctoral study in the same College. He is well versed in teaching History of English Literature, British Literature and Literary Criticism and Theory. This edition is his maiden attempt. He has edited the poem "The Waste Land" with detailed notes. The present edition of the text is his next venture in editing literary textbooks.
