Dr Bhargava has held leadership roles in several businesses across Europe, India and South East Asia. Furthermore, he has successful leveraged his in-depth understating of various business functions, cultures and behaviours across geographies to provide CXOs of many international companies with guidance as a strategic advisor.
Dr Bhargava, after his Ph.D. from SUNY at Buffalo, NY, joined Imperial Chemical Industries Plc (ICI plc UK) and moved to ICI India Ltd where he progressed his way up to an Executive Director, Board member of ICI India responsible for the Paints business. Later he accepted the role of Regional Director, Asia Pacific ICI Paints, Singapore for refinish paints.
During his successful professional career spanning several decades, Dr Bhargava headed various businesses for international firms like PPG Industries (Asia operations), Perstorp AB (Sweden), where he was Managing Director for India operations. As an advisor, Dr Bhargava has guided the Danish company, Hempel, on business expansion projects and has assisted Dulux Australia in a product portfolio introduction in India.
Furthermore, Dr Bhargava has mentored several SMEs by helping them develop complex business strategies and implement robust systems and procedures that have formed the foundations of their future growth.
