M.O.G. Malappattam, a renowned author, speaker, freethinker, and poet, is a native of Kannur district in Kerala. A retired K S R T C inspector who broadened and intensified his socio-critical and literary activities. A prolific writer who authored many books in different categories. He is a popular presenter of “Subhashitam” on All India Radio (A I R). He is the founder president of “Author’s Forum” state committee. He has also contributed thousands of articles as a columnist of popular magazines and leading Malayalam newspapers.
M.O.G Malappattam received the first “Deshamitram Sahitya Award” for his great contributions towards Malayalam literature and the award was presented by the Minister of Devaswam in Kerala.
Malayalam version of “The Laughing Bus“ was released in the name of “Vandichiri” during the year 2006.
