Shashidhar Sastry
Shashidhar Sastry is an Enterprise Architect, technology consultant, strategic planner, and writer. He started his career as a Mechanical Engineer designing boilers and heat exchangers in a large manufacturing company. But his passion for IT soon kicked in, and he started computerising the company. He switched to IT full-time in 1998 and worked for IBM for 23 years.
Shashi has led complex IT solutions for many large companies in ANZ, India, and other countries over a thirty-six-year career. For the last fifteen years as an Enterprise Architect, he has established Enterprise Architecture for several companies and delivered IT strategy and governance.
Shashi published his first book, In My Experience, Forty Essays on Architecture & Leadership, in 2019. He is an Open Group certified Distinguished Enterprise Architect. He holds seven patents in IT architecture techniques and designs.
Shashi is also deeply interested in philosophy and published his second book, The Philosophy of Life Instinct, Answers to All the Big Questions, in 2021.
Shashi hosts a website, quality-thinking.com, with plenty of original and curated content on all his interests, including architecture. He is also a long-time essayist and blogger on Medium and LinkedIn, with over 200 posts.
When Shashi is not enjoying his passion for architecture, you’ll find him enjoying and exploring art, western classical music, writing, and spending quality time with his lovely wife Shylaja and children Preetika and Tarun.
