Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalHi friends!
Teenage is the bridge childhood needs to cross to embark on adulthood.
However, this ‘Fadkay’ bridge is more like tight rope walking.
Adolescence encompasses a myriad of physical, cognitive, emotional, sexual, social changes appended by a hormonal surge. Our teens have to make major career decisions too during this tempest. Overcoming peer pressure, struggling to fit-in, attempting to pick the ‘right’ from ‘wrong’, fulfilling family expectations, and dealing with many other ordeals…
Whether or not adorned with affluence, elegance or intellect, each one has to cut across this juncture. Unbiased.
And before they know, they are already on the other side of the coast!
Either they sailed ‘without harm’ or were washed away by the shore…
All these changes bring about anxiety not only in the teens but also their families!
Despite all said and done, parents are still the critical support a teen can have. It is a notable fact that anticipating these changes can help teens and their families. Hence, I have put together a few common teen experiences as narrations shared by a parent, a teacher, a pal or the teens themselves.
May it help you.
Happy reading!
