Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalReaders are invited to explore the fascinating world of Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding and its profound impact on P22 (2.25Cr-1Mo) and P91 (9Cr-1Mo) steels. Through meticulous research and experimentation, the author unveils the complexities of these dissimilar weld joints commonly used in power plants.
The book delves into the behavior analysis of P22 and P91 steels after TIG welding, particularly focusing on the challenge posed by the high hardness values in the heat affected zone (HAZ).
Readers will find a wealth of information on microstructure and mechanical properties of the weldments, as well as metallurgical examinations before and after welding and PWHT. The research encompasses statistical techniques like one-way ANOVA, providing a robust analysis of the behavior of parent materials following TIG welding. The findings are reinforced by vivid metallurgical images, aiding readers in comprehending the intricate details of weld pool formation and HAZ transformation.
This book is an indispensable resource for welders, researchers, and industry professionals seeking to optimize TIG welding practices and enhance their understanding of the behavior of P22 and P91 steels. With its focus on sustainable PWHT processes, it equips readers with the knowledge and techniques necessary to mitigate hardness disparities and ensure the durability and reliability of weldments.
