I am Trevor and this is the story of my journey – from Mumbai’s Bandra to post-partition Lahore, to the mountains of Mussoorie and back to Mumbai. Somewhere along the way, I transitioned from Trevor, the rookie to the much applauded as well as dreaded “Trouble Report!”
Trevor Rodericks and Nalini Raghavan
Born in Mumbai’s suburb of Bandra in the 1930s, Trevor completed his schooling at St George’s, Mussoorie.
After he graduated from St George’s, Trevor was among the first batch of Apprentices who joined Otis Elevator Company when it established base in India. He had a successful forty-two-year career at Otis, and is credited for developing a range of innovative systems, processes and trouble-shooting techniques which were deployed by the Company for many decades.
Twenty-five years into retirement, Trevor still continues to be a voice of reason in the industry- having kept himself abreast of latest technology and developments and yet firmly rooted to the values and ethics of a bygone era.
