Since my childhood I wanted to become an Animator, but faced financial problems and started job during high schooling. I have more than 9 years of experience in Construction Company as a Sr. Document Controller at the time of writing this book. During this period I have been worked with India’s well known construction companies like Pratibha Industries Ltd, Feedback Infra Pvt. Ltd, Godrej Properties Ltd. and ATS Infrastructure Ltd. I have faced the interviews in top companies like Geodata India, Larsen & Toubro, Nuberg Engineering, WTC Noida, La Sorogeeka, Shapoorji Pallonji, Punj Llyod and Egis India. I want to share my early experience that how I came to this field without having any technical degree. After completion of one year certification course in hardware & networking in 2009, I started my career as a computer operator in 2010 when I was paid only rupees Six thousand and five hundred per month. That time I was not sure about my career growth because lack of guidance and no financial support. Suddenly, I got a job opportunity from a reputed construction company in India which was working with Delhi Metro in 2012. I was selected out of 5 candidates were present for the interview. I think this incident was happened in my life by luck, because without proper training it's hard to start a career as a document controller since it is a very important position with full of responsibilities in any construction company. Once, during the interview at La Sorogeeka Sr. Document Controller shared with me that; “there are lots of career opportunities available for a document controller. One can be promoted to DGM, Head of Document Department, in leading construction companies and his remuneration gets increased up to rupees one lac/ per month”. Hearing this is enough to be excited and be motivated. Currently, I am not HoD of my department but I am sharing my experience and knowledge just to train you so that you can make your career as a Document Controller.
