This book addresses two important but neglected realities about undergraduate teaching. First, teaching at the undergraduate level is very different from teaching at any other level and poses unique challenges that warrant specialized knowledge of pedagogical principles and strategies. Second, that most undergraduate instructors have little to no training in pedagogy and are mostly guided by the methods they themselves experienced as students. Today, the changed profile and aspirations of the Gen Z college entrants, and the emergence of advanced technology-based methods and tools have made undergraduate teaching very demanding. In this book, Professor Veena Kumar shares her learning from over three decades of teaching, research and faculty training in France, India and the USA. During her extended international career, She has trained faculty from USA, India, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Korea; and has coordinated prestigious projects sponsored by the World Bank, the European Commission, the MHRD (India), the Commonwealth of Learning (Canada), MEXT, Japan, and the British Council.
