MAN MOHAN SINGH
Man Mohan Singh (MSW) was born in 1952 in Ahmadabad. After doing his Honour’s in Politics, he served as an intelligence officer for 28 years with one of the most premier organizations of the country: the Intelligence Bureau, India. He voluntarily retired in 2000 to fulfil his desire to serve society. He is the founding Chairman of ‘All India Samaj Samaj Sewa Kendra’ (a non-profit, voluntary organization) and is presently the President of Sanjha Radio (a community-based radio) in Yamuna Nagar since 2013, which was licensed to be an NGO by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting by the Government of India. Sanjha Radio received the National Award in 2018 for ‘Sustainability’. And in 2019, it got the first prize in ‘Content Sustainability’. Since 2018, the author is also the Secretary General of the Community Radio Association of India.
During his tenure as an intelligence officer, besides having opportunities to serve in various places, he also served in the Prime Minister’s Office, Delhi, where he had the privilege of closely studying politicians. While working in the social sector, he attended various seminars, workshops, and meetings in the field of vocational education, health, microfinance, micro insurance, water and sanitation, environment and pollution, and various awareness programmes. He has had the opportunity of working on HIV/AIDS with the Haryana AIDS organization, NABARD, Safai Vidyalaya, Ahmadabad and with various state and central Government agencies. In 2018, he also attended a three-day workshop at Yogartha, Indonesia, organized by the World Broadcasters Association.
