Deependra Singh known as "VATSA", has made his mark as an author and filmmaker but he is truly a poet by heart. He is every bit of a storyteller in his own unique way. Deriving experiences from the complexities of life and extracting the essence of those complex experiences in simple yet deeply meaningful and moving words shows his mastery over his craft.
Vatsa is well known on social media and has a loyal fan base. All his fans deeply love him when he recite his own poetries in his signature style baritone voice which is like a nector for their ears and the warmth in his voice gives them a soothing experience.
His directorial prowess was recognised first when he received Best Director award for his short film “I Witness” at MISFF in 2016. Additionally, Vatsa has been nominated thrice in Indian Television Academy Awards (ITA) for best Editor award.
Vatsa’s writing repertoire includes “Rooh” a book containing his poems, "Inshaa" book of shayari and “Sankhanaad” a novel based on the life of ‘Aghori’. 3am is his third poetry collection.
