Sayan Dey is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mass Communication, Mizoram University. With over 8 years of teaching and research experience, he has published in indexed journals as well contributed chapters/articles in books and edited volumes. He has also co-edited an edited volume on 'Media and Marginality : From Theory to Praxis'. He received his doctoral degree in the domain of New Media and Hybrid Culture. His research areas include Print Media, New Media and Digital Culture, Media and Gender among others.
Dr.V.Ratnamala is a Professor in the Department of Mass Communication, Mizoram University, Aizawl, Mizoram, India. She was a Visiting Fellow at Institute for Comparative Modernities, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York during Feb-May 2020. She is also the coordinator for Technology Enabling Centre at Mizoram University sponsored by Department of Science & Technology. She got her PhD from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University,
Tirunelveli, Tamil nadu. Prior to join here, she has worked as lecturer in the
department of Mass Communication, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University for three years. Her area of research is media coverage of Dalit issues. The title of her doctoral thesis is “Dalit Issues and Tamil Press: The Coverage of Dalit Participation in Politics in the Southern Districts of Tamil Nadu”.
