Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh Pal"Nobody Takes Me Seriously" is a wicked collection of poems that spills the tea on the daily struggles of female existence in a world consumed by capitalism, complicated power dynamics, climate change, "Keeping up with the Kardashians", and whatnot! We're talking soul-sucking corporate gigs, those flaky fuckboys who come and go, daddy issues that linger around, and Pink Floyd playing as a background score while navigating through the crazy hormones every day. All these channel into self-sabotaging art that craves for validation while the need for validation itself feels like a bad joke.
"Nobody takes me seriously" is a loud and dramatic meditative journey, where these questions are thrown around - "Why should anyone take me seriously?", "What is the point of being taken seriously?", "Do I take myself seriously?", "Do I take others seriously?". These questions converge at a crossroad not knowing where to go from there, so they decided to become poems.
