Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 has been enacted with the objective of providing more effective protection of the rights of women guaranteed under the Constitution of India, who are victims of violence of any kind occurring within the family. The Act provides mainly civil reliefs including maintenance, residence and protection to the victims of domestic violence. Although there are many books available on domestic violence, there is lack of focused and concise book on the same. This book is must read for lawyers, law students, social activists and general public.
