Arjun Ghosh

While studying in St. Xavier’s Calcutta and St. Stephen’s Delhi, Arjun Ghosh got interested in the counter culture wave that was sweeping the world. That was born in Harvard, in the anti-Vietnam War protests, in Greenwich Village and Height Ashbury and exploded on the stage of Woodstock. It was given wings by Kerouac’s “On the Road”, the poetry of Alan Ginsberg, the writings of Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert, and the music of the great Rock and Roll bands that were singing to the youth of the world.

After completing his Master’s from St. Stephen’s, Delhi, Arjun realized that to understand the real spirit of the times one had to live it. And an integral part of the experience was living on the road and travelling with the youth of the Woodstock generation from across the world.

So Arjun went on a six year journey that stretched from the by-lanes of Calcutta to the parks and discos of Delhi; from the mountains Nepal and Himachal Pradesh, across the border to Afghanistan; to the sea swept beaches of the Eastern coast and Goa.

Finally at the end of this six year journey he came back to mainstream society and spent 35 + years in advertising firstly as a copywriter and then as creative director.
