AMIT SACHAN, SWATI
Professor Amit Sachan is a Professor of Operations Management at IIM Ranchi since 2011. He holds a B.Tech. from IIT Roorkee and is a Fellow of MDI Gurgaon. Earlier, he served as Service Manager at AON Hewitt. He authored Business Statistics Using Python (McGraw Hill, 2024) and co-authored the 12th edition of Operations Management: Sustainability and Supply Chain Management. A recipient of the Dewang Mehta Award (2012), he also attended Harvard’s GLOCOLL in 2014. His interests include emerging technologies and applied statistics. He has published widely in reputed journals and teaches courses such as Business Statistics, Operations Research, Revenue Management, and Service Operations at the MBA level.
Swati holds an MBA in International Business and a Bachelor’s in Education. She has worked at AON Hewitt in India on key human capital projects. With expertise in business and pedagogy, she simplifies complex statistical concepts and connects them to real-world applications, making the book accessible and engaging for both students and professionals.
