The Last Tree Of Wishes

There is a boy named Raghu who is 11 years old. He lives in a small village named Manglovia. He lost his parents at his childhood in an accident. So his care is being taken by his aunt who lives in the small village. Aunt is too rude towards the boy and used to make Raghu do all the works at home and he is not sent to the school but learnt to read during his childhood. He is very sad due to such rude behavior of aunt but the boy has no choice to leave. So he continued to stay with the aunt doing all the stuff at home.

One fine day Raghu got irritated and decided to leave home at once. So the boy left home that night. The weather is so horrible and it’s heavily raining but the boy did not go back he continued his escape from the aunt’s home. After reaching some distance away from his aunt’s home he decided to take shelter as it is heavily raining but found no shelter near to him. He moved some distance and found an old house which is under demolition present in the forest of that village. He entered that house which is dark for shelter and lighted a candle and started thinking about his parents and the people around him. Especially about his aunt’s rude behavior towards him and he cries. After a while he started to look the room and things present in the room. He is moving around the room looking at the things and found something strange an old box with weird symbols on it. The symbols are a tree, caution symbols, dark forest, wild animal’s snakes etc. The weird box attracted the boy and the boy decided to open the box and he went near the box and tried to open it but as it is weird he could not open it. After some time he found a key in the house which is like tree shaped and used the key to open the box and finally successful in opening the box. He found some old papers, maps and books in the box. He took out those things out of the box and started reading those papers. He found that the papers, maps and books are about the process that shows the way to reach the sacred tree which fulfills the wishes present in the dark forest. Papers contain the information about cautions a man has to take in his way to reach the tree; maps contain the information that shows way to reach the sacred tree. The book contains the information about the sacred trees present during the ancient times and stories about ancient sacred trees and living. The boy decided to stay in that house present in the dark forest and decided to visit the sacred tree using information present in the resources present with him. So he slept in that house that night and decided to start his journey next morning.

The next morning, the boy woke up, came out of house and felt happy for being free and happy by looking at the trees, weather of forest, cute animals. He remembered the box that he has seen last night and developed a desire in him to reach the sacred tree. He took rest for a while in that house and after satisfying his hungry with the fruits of the trees present in that forest, he started his journey. The boy walked some distance and felt tired and sat under a tree and took rest while reading the book. He read the book completely. It was written in the book that in the past times there are several sacred trees on the mountain present in the dark forest. The people of ancient times used to worship them with great divinity to fulfill their wishes. But after some days human started being selfish. Human started wishing the sacred trees to fulfill their own selfish dreams irrespective of their effect on others. This made life horrible and once a cyclone wiped off all the sacred trees leaving one unaffected, the mother sacred tree. To reach this tree it is a difficult way. One who is strong in his thoughts, kind, brave, unselfish and who has peaceful mind alone can reach this tree after facing several difficulties. The boy started to fear after reading this and however he did not look back and decided to reach the tree bravely. He is really surprised with the people who are wise and good of those times. He felt that it would be really good if people of present time are as same as past people. It’s almost afternoon. He ate some fruits and started his journey. He uses the maps and caution showing paper to reach the way towards sacred tree. According to papers that show cautions the boy has to cross 7 stages to reach the sacred tree.

During 1st stage the boy has to prove that he is brave enough and strong hearted. To make him pass this test he has to fight with the snakes without fear if not the boy would die due to snake bites. The boy made his mind strong and moved forward with brave heart and his braveness made him remain unaffected from the snakes. So the boy was successful in the 1st stage and moved forward to face the 2nd stage.

During 2nd stage the boy has to prove that he is stable minded. To make him pass this test he has to enter the dark cave where fearful creatures are guarding a diamond of restoring life. The boy has to collect the diamond from the cave. Only shining diamond can be seen inside the dark cave which is guarded by weird creatures that no one can see in the dark. However the stable minded boy entered the cave and has seen the shining diamond and moved forward to grab it. The creatures in the cave scared the boy so that he will run away from the cave. But the boy closed his eyes and with his stable mind to get the diamond he moved forward and successful in getting the diamond of restoring life which can be used only once.

In 3rd stage the boy has to prove that he has thoughts that flow like water easily and do well to others. In this stage the boy has to cross the overflowing river. The boy has to believe in himself that he has good thoughts that can make good to others. The boy strongly believed in himself and moved forward through the overflowing water and finally passed in the 3rd stage.

Then in the 4th stage the boy has to prove himself that he has burning desires to do well to others. In this stage the boy has to pass the test by passing himself through the fire. If he is good minded he will remain unaffected and can pass easily through the fire. If he is bad minded he will turn into ashes in that fire. The boy started to move forward into the fire and remained unaffected. He successfully passed in the stage and moved forward to reach next stage.

During 5th stage the boy has to prove that he is very peaceful. To pass this test the boy has to move out of strong winds easily. Only a man who is very peaceful can pass through these winds. The boy moved forward into the winds with a peaceful mind and successfully he is out of those forceful winds.

In the 6th stage the boy has to prove that he is kind hearted and charity giving man. To pass the test he has to scarify something and able to proved himself that he is kind hearted. He moved forward for the opportunity to prove that he is kind. In the middle he found a lion chasing a deer and the lion injured the deer in a way that it will die soon. The boy moved forward and used the diamond of restoring life on deer to restore its life proving that he is kind hearted and finally entered the next stage successfully.

In the 7th stage the boy has to prove that he has great divinity inside him. To pass this stage he has to transform the fierce wild flesh eating animals into normal trees with his great divinity. The boy moved forward and found weird, fearful huge trees that moved towards boy to swallow him. But boy remained stable and bowed to the trees and prayed them with pure heart and great divinity and transformed them to normal trees and these trees paved the path to reach the sacred tree easily.

The boy finally reached the last sacred tree of wishes which is very huge, old and beautiful. The boy is very happy by looking at the sacred tree of fulfilling desires. A slow sound came from the tree that asked boy to make 2 wishes at a time because the tree is going to die soon as it became too old. The boy remained silent for a while and asked restore the world to a normal way that the people are pure hearted, kind and unselfish. The tree agreed and said that the wish will be fulfilled. The tree asked to make his 2nd wish and now the boy asked that this world should never become evil, selfish and foolish. This world must remain as a heaven of living where love and kindness spread their fragrance all over the world.

The sacred tree felt very happy for the boy’s wishes and told boy that his wises would come true soon and said bye to the boy and left its life.

The boy started moving back to his home with lot of joy and happiness to see the change in the restored world of happiness and purity. Finally the boy reached home and found his aunt very affectionate towards him showing kindness and pure love towards him and found same in other people too and felt very happy from that time. The unselfish boy made this world a heaven with his bravery, unselfishness, pure heart, stable mind and peace present in him.
