Movie date in PJs

"Hi babe, come downstairs", I got a call from my boyfriend.

It was 11:30 am in the morning. It was a summer weekend. I had breakfast and was relaxing in my bed when i got the call. He was there outside my home. I was not expecting to see him today. There were no plans.

I went to the balcony and looked for him. He was there on phone, wearing a shirt over black t-shirt. He looked so handsome. I was so surprised to see him. Initially I thought he was just joking.

I went downstairs to meet him. I hugged him tightly. I was so happy to see him. It is so rare of him to give such pleasant surprise.

I was wearing khaki shorts and mustard colored t-shirt which i often wear at home. My hair also looked messy.

He booked a cab. He removed his shirt and gave it to me. I was confused but I wore his oversized shirt because i kind of liked it. He said that we were going for a movie in dlf mall and then for lunch. I asked him to let me quickly change my clothes but he insisted on going like this only.

"What are you saying! What has gotten into you today?!" I asked with excitement. It was so unlikely of him to do any such thing.

The cab arrived. We boarded the cab. The cab driver definitely looked at me with judgement.

We reached the mall. The thing about big malls is that no matter how often i visit, i also get confused with the paths. It is so difficult to find where the theatre is, which floor and wing etc. And when you reach theatre on time, finding screen is also another task. Also, I was feeling little underdressed according to the mall and seeing girls around me with perfect makeup and dresses made me a little nervous.

When we reached, movie was already started. Now that I am writing, I dont really remember the movie name, haha!!

Its strange though I remember little details about this day, but i am not able to recall movie name.

Although I think interval popcorn break is overrated because of the price of every eatable in theatres, but who does not enjoy the popcorn in movie theatre. He liked caramel flavour popcorn, so we bought that with one straw and one cold drink! Yeah definitely one!

I dont remember how the movie was, but we definitely enjoyed there and a good laugh. We sat there holding each other's hands. I was leaning a little to rest my head on his shoulder.

When the movie was over, we left from the exit gate. Finding way back to mall from exit gate is task in itself. You need to pause and look around where you landed. It feels like a bhool bhulayia.

We went for lunch. It was weekend. There was so much rush in mall. All the restaurants had long waiting queues. We decided to eat in foodcourt. To spot an empty table and then go get it is a skill. It took us aroung 15 mins to find a table. meanwhile we decide what to eat.

He likes subway :( and i dont. I like pizza or chinese food. So we ordered our food.

Oh yeah, he was carrying a book as well, something about happiness! I am too bad with names :P

He wore my glasses and posed pretending to read the book. He looked so cute with the glasses on. I took some pictures of him. I was not really excited about my pics as i was not dressed well. But we took a selfie to remeber this day. I looked so messy but beautiful :D

One thing I realized was that sometimes, we are too concious about what we are wearing or how do we look. But that i realized, no one really cares and no one is really interested. Also, it does not really matter. we should not be so hard on ourselves to look good all the time. we can have good time pyjamas, best times maybe.

Wear what makes you comfortable. Comfort is fashion. Do what you like, how you like it. It does not matter what people think, and most of the times, people are thinking at all. It is us who keep thinking worse scenarios which does not even exist.

Take the first step. Get out of your comfort zone. Have lots of fun and enjoy the moment. You are beautiful as you are irrespective of your clothes, skin, this that.
