The students of Botany, Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Geology have an option to opt for Zoology as their Generic Elective subjects during the first four semesters of the 6 semester graduation session. Zoology as a generic elective paper can also be opted by any student belonging to science stream depending on their interest.
Still there are no books for students interested in studying Zoology as Generic Elective paper. Still the GE students are referring books which have been written keeping in mind the honours core courses. Thus it becomes a pain for the students to crop down the topics for their GE papers from the books meant for core papers. It becomes difficult for a student to decide what to study and what not to study.
Keeping in mind the above situation, this book has been exclusively written as per the syllabus prescribed by the UGC for Generic Elective paper under the CBCS Curriculum. There are many papers/topics which a student has to study in GE Zoology. One of the papers/topics is Animal Diversity
