Ekta Bhatnagar is a mother to two naughty little girls and is a wife of a Defence officer. She is a writer and a self-taught artist. Her love for writing came from her father who used to write stories in his leisure time. He encouraged her to always pen down her thoughts. Thus she wanted to do something in the field of writing and art. Being born and brought up in West Bengal, Ekta always had an inclination towards art. She went on to study Mass communication at Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai. She started working with the Times Journal of Photography and then moved into Client Servicing at an advertising agency. After this she chose to work in the corporate world but the 9-5 kind of work wasnt happening for her! After her marriage she also taught school children and realised that she is good at telling stories. Her love for writing took shape from 2009 and she has been freelancing since then. She has written articles on various topics right from management, education and travel for various websites and publications, including IIM-A website: www.paycheck.in, DNA- Mumbai and Jetwings Magazine. But her love for writing shines in childrens stories. She has also freelanced for a children’s web magazine- www.mocomi.com and has written scripts for Jugnu Kids. With 3 books in her kitty, Ekta wants to write more for children and her inspiration are her daughters with their vivid imagination. Tara is a smart, eleven year old girl who loves to read books about magic and adventure. She is bored during her vacations as she has already read all her books. Little does she know that this summer she would be meeting a good witch in real life! Not only has that, she also becomes friends with the witch's magical cat. But the witch and the cat are looking for a lost Talisman and believe that Tara or someone Tara knows has it. This involves Tara in some serious potion making activities and giving those 'not-so-trustworthy' potions to her friends and family.
But there are other dangerous creatures as well who want the Talisman badly and they can magically transform anyone into anything! It is up to Tara to find and get the Talisman to safety before it gets in the wrong hand.
