LAHORE: A further 78 people have died of the global corona virus across the country. Medical officials have called on the public to take precautionary measures and vaccinate as soon as possible to prevent the spread of the deadly disease.
According to a statement issued by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), during the last 24 hours, 47,419 tests were carried out across the country to test for corona virus, of which 2,580 were found to be infected. The rate of positive cases was recorded at about five and a half percent.

According to the report, 7,240 people have recovered from the corona virus in the last 24 hours. At present, 1,097,416 people have recovered from Corona in Pakistan while the number of active cases is 85,801.
It may be recalled that 67 deaths were reported across the country due to corona virus yesterday, out of which 24 deaths were due to patients on ventilators. After Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded the highest number of deaths.

Yesterday, 2,988 people across the country tested positive for code. In major cities, Bahawalpur has 47 per cent, Lahore 59 per cent, Multan 76 per cent and Sargodha 61 per cent patients on Ventilator.
Similarly, in the four major cities of the country, the proportion of positive cases of corona on bed with oxygen facilities is 63% in Gujarat, 60% in Swabi, 66% in Multan and 78% in Sargodha.
