Anil C Anand has worked for 38 years in Armed Forces Medical services - as a physician, gastroenterologist, liver transplant physician, professor, Chief consultant, and finally as Director General. After superannuation, he worked at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital Delhi as a Senior Consultant for five years before moving to his present job as a full-time Professor at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar. He has published over 400 research and review papers in international journals and has been the president of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology as well as the Indian Association for the Study of the Liver. he often writes in medical journals about life and times in the medical profession in the form of stories written with a philosophical mindset, and a wicked, self-deprecating humor that hallmarks his writing style with an unmistakable touch of uniqueness.</span></p>
