This book offers a comprehensive content by providing a foundation of the concepts with all the topics logically organized. The chapters dealt are from buffers in biological system, types of biomolecules and their metabolism. The chapter on protein is specially dealt in many sections even including the special amino acids which is very rare in usual text books. The book deals with principles of methods involved in sequencing of biomolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids which is the basis for molecular biology. The chapter on enzyme kinetics with emphasis on Michaelis –Menten equation provides for better understanding the energetics of metabolic pathways in a sequential manner substantiated with the molecular structure. The chapter on Photosynthesis presents a significant component of concepts on photosystems, C3 and C4 pathways. The book contains much sought after content for competitive exams. With its simple language and clear illustrations, the book is a treasure chest for the new learners/beginners of Biochemistry and to those for whom English is a foreign language.
