Guru Rajan

Born and brought up at Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Gururajan completed his B.Sc Agriculture and M.Sc in Agriculture at the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai. He completed his doctoral degree, PhD in Agronomy, at Tamil Nadu agricultural university, Coimbatore. He has served for 38 years in various cadre including as a professor of Agronomy in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Born and brought up at Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Gururajan completed his B.Sc Agriculture and M.Sc in Agriculture at the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai.  He completed his doctoral degree, PhD in Agronomy, at Tamil Nadu agricultural university, Coimbatore. He has served for 38 years in various cadre including as a professor of Agronomy in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. He published three books in the Agronomy discipline and has more than 50 research articles published in English and in Tamil. 
From his childhood, he evinced deep interest in learning the history of Tamil Nadu as well as India. He developed a great passion for history, and whenever he had free time while in service, he used to study extensively on historical facts. The idea of writing about Pandiyan kings came after his retirement. The historical evidence obtained through inscriptions, copper plates, paper clippings, epics like Silappathikaram and other books were integrated to write this book. Pandiya Perarasargal is his first book on history.
