Santosh Saligram is a writer, wildlife photographer, editor and creative communications professional, with an inexhaustible love for tigers and storytelling in various forms.
Saligram’s tryst with wildlife commenced when he was introduced to the pleasures of nature and outdoors by his two maternal uncles, who took him along on treks and adventure trips from a young age, where he nurtured a love for photography. Over time, pleasure turned to passion, fueling numerous visits to tiger reserves. Subsequently, his decade-long stint as a full-time photography mentor and wildlife-tour host inspired him to write Taken for a Ride modelled on his observations of tiger-led tourism and conservation.
Prior to Taken for a Ride, Saligram has authored Alluring Alwar, a non-fiction book on Sariska Tiger Reserve, and a memoir-style photography-book called Retrospect: 2013. He has also contributed chapters to the official coffee-table book of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
 
Saligram lives in Bengaluru with his wife, Sourabha Rao, herself an accomplished poet and the driving force behind the publishing of this book.
