As an Association Office Bearer, he was the main person in establishing the State government and central government Occupational Therapy colleges in TamilNadu, India. He was involved in establishing Occupational Therapy as an independent faculty status in the State Government Medical University of Tamil Nadu, India. He was the foremost person to introduce Oncology and Palliative care as one of the specialties in the Master of Occupational Therapy in India. He has also served as a resource person for International, National, State, Zonal and District level Conferences. Prof. Raghuram. P received 12 distinguished awards and honors for his outstanding contribution to the field of Occupational Therapy and for his scientific presentations and also served as a Rehabilitative Assessor in the State Government Project called “Vaazhnthu kattuvom”. He continued to practice his career in both urban and rural places by developing programs to raise public awareness regarding Occupational Therapy. His dedication went beyond the profession by helping individuals who were in need during the pandemic via the CM Covid Relief Funds. He is a role model and inspiration to the future generation.

Prof. Raghuram.
