During my routine practice at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma, Post Graduate Institute of Medical sciences Rohtak (Haryana) I come across a number of these young wrestlers trying to seek the best possible treatment for their injuries so that they can continue playing. A review of their playing conditions is also disheartening. Knowledge of the more frequent musculoskeletal injuries sustained by them can help in the preparation of preventive actions and of training programs to reduce their incidence and improve the performance of our athletes. Our study is a small step in providing data on occurrence of wrestling injuries and we hope that it will contribute towards development of more effective preventive measures.
