Ajay Adala started his career as a mining engineer and worked in iron ore mines for many years. He shifted from the mining sector to the information technology sector and since then has been working in the field of Electronic Governance. He has visited many countries on study visits and for presenting papers in conferences. He had associated with the government as a consultant for conceptualization, implementation and managing large e-governance projects. He was a software entrepreneur for a brief period prior to his association with the government. He lives in Bengaluru (India) and works as an independent e-governance consultant, undertaking short-term assignments to conceptualize and implement e-governance projects for the government.
