Ali Haidar Laskar The author was born in the village Chandpur on 1 February 1948. He was  awarded with the Earle Medal for his academic excellence. He studied in Gauhati University and passed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. examinations with brilliant results. He worked as a Physics lecturer in Gargaon College, Sivasagar, and retired as principal of S.S. College, Hailakandi.After his retirement, he became busy with social work.
