This book chronicles the role of the lawyers, forces of religion (organized religion), and history in the attainment of the independence of India and in the partition of the country. The book also deals with such issues as the liberations of the Portuguese, French, Dutch, and Dane possessions in India, probes into the persons who were responsible for the partition of India, and whether Pakistan should celebrate the 14th of August as their day of birth rather than the day of independence, whether crimes against humanity were committed in 1946-1947, and who were responsible for them. The book also highlights the pioneer role of the Tribals in the Freedom Movement of India
The attainment of the independence of India was made possible not only by the great leaders who are in our constant remembrance but also by the countless number of common citizens who followed the clarion calls of their leaders. And in doing so they suffered untold hardship and incarcerations and braved the lathi charges and firings by the British police. The attainment of the independence of India was made possible not only by the great leaders who are in our constant remembrance but also by the countless number of common citizens who followed the clarion calls of their leaders. And in doing so they suffered untold hardship and incarcerations and braved the lathi charges and firings by the British police. Similarly, there are some other prominent freedom fighters whose sacrifices and contributions are no less significant, but they are not remembered today in the same breath. The contributions of the industry and industrialists of that era constituted the financial source of almost all the freedom movements launched by Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian National Congress and some other parties and their leaders. The contribution of literature and the journalism is also of great significance. It is not possible to trace these countless worthy names. Therefore, a humble endeavor has been made in this book to remember as many of them as possible.
Besides the British occupation, several parts of India were under the possession of the Portuguese, the French, the Dutch and the Danes. This book also describes how these territories were regained by India. It is my pleasure to place this book in the hands of my esteemed readers during this 75th year of the independence of our country.

A Tale of Three Lawyers is an analytical and objective study of three colossal leaders of an era in which one struggled for the independence of the country, the second struggled for the creation of his new country while the third struggled for the political rehabilitation of the deprived classes.
Three different objectives motivated Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. They employed three different means and methods and, therefore, it is no surprise that they brought about three distinct achievements, delivering three different legacies to their succeeding generations. The author attempts to present to the readers a dispassionate assessment of these three mass leaders without an intention to compare and contrast any of the three great leaders’ advantages or disadvantages.

Mahatma Gandhi lived a completely versatile life .There is not a single field of human activity which was left un-touched by him, such as politics, religion and ethics , journalism and literature . He was not only a social-worker but he was a social-reformer at par with any other eminent social-worker such as Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Sir Ishwar Chand Vidyasagar,Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, Mahatma Phule, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Naicker Periyar and others.Unfortunately , this part of his contribution has not been as properly high-lighted as it deserves. The author of this book has made a sincere effort in this book to do some justice to this important aspect of the illustrious life of the Mahatma.

Kasturba Gandhi, the wife of Mahatma Gandhi silently endured the gradual deterioration of her four sons because of the lack of proper formal education which was denied to them by the peremptory regimentation of their illustrious father. Harilal, the eldest protested more vociferously while the three younger brothers followed the dictates of the patriarch more tamely.
The four sons were active-passive resisters in their own rights. But they received almost no approbation from their father while there were words of charity for others similarly situated. The Saint ordained the pursuit of a life of poverty and self-denial. Kasturba translated and implemented these disciplines in her personal life.
But could it be expected that an ambitious mother would agree to a course of similar life for her sons? This book is a simple effort to probe into these questions with regard to Kasturba Gandhi: the Silent Sufferer.
