Mahatma Gandhi is venerated as the leader of the freedom movement of India and he is credited with the emancipation of India from the British rule. Mahatma Gandhi lived a completely versatile life .There is not a single field of human activity which was left un-touched by him,such as politics,religion and ethics , journalism and literature . He was not only a social-worker but he was a social-reformer at par with any other eminent social-worker such as Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Sir Ishwar Chand Vidyasagar,Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, Mahatma Phule, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Naicker Periyar and others.Unfortunately , this part of his contribution has not been as properly high-lighted as it deserves.The author of this book has made a sincere effort in this book to do some justice to this important aspect of the illustrious life of the Mahatma.
The author of this book N.C.Beohar is a practising lawyer in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. He has been publishing regular articles in the various local news-papers on the subjects of contemporary interest such as law and politics. He is a life-member of Atlanta USA based World Association for Vedic Studies ( WAVES ) and as such, he has presented several papers in conferences held in several places in India, in Kathmandu Nepal and in several places in USA. History of the freedom-movement of India is a subject of interest for him with special coverage for Mahatma Gandhi. He has already published four books earlier.
