C.N.Pillai

C.N.Pillai (Chandrasekhara Narayana Pillai) was born in 1934 in Kerala, India. After an early education in India, he travelled to the USA for higher studies and research in chemistry, in 1955. After acquiring a Ph.D. from North-western University, Evanston, Illinois, he returned to India in 1961. The onward and return journeys were by ship. In India, after a brief stint in the industry, he joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
