Manas was born in the autumn of 1975 in Kolkata, India. His childhood was spent in climbing trees (you do not however find that many trees now) and eating street food during Durga Puja in the streets of Kolkata, and skating through the alleys and parks in Delhi. Aspirations ranged from becoming an artist, a computer geek and a musician. He has been ambidextrous in any work he laid his hands upon, which extended to his writings being both in fiction and in non-fiction genres.
An avid writer and artist – while carefully balancing his life of being an IT professional – his keen observations of life and people around him result in fictions full of adventures, suspense, thrill and family drama. His stories are critically examined by his spouse, and at times lovingly and naughtily torn by his three-year old daughter, Asmita.
Sharmi and Ankita are inspired by real lives – lives of two women whom Manas had met at different points of time. The inspiration led him to not only pen down their life story in this work, but also in more of his works in thriller and drama genres.

Assessing DevOps is about leveraging quantitative methods in analyzing IT from DevOps perspective deterministically, as opposed to providing subjective recommendations. This helps the consultant to successfully map IT strategy to implementation, and predict the outcome even before embarking on the DevOps journey. With numerous examples, templates, questions and stories; business and industry coverage on DevOps; in-depth explanation of concepts and emerging IT areas; ready references on business and IT metrics; and three extensive industry case studies; the book is an invaluable tool and reference for the practicing DevOps professional.
The authors have a vast experience in the field of DevOps, having conducted large scale DevOps assessments and transformations across organizations, including truly global firms across industry verticals. With each of them having more than twenty years of experience in IT, the approach has been uniquely formulated by them to map and plan out any organization's IT strategy to on-ground implementation.
