The voluntary social organization  AMIABLE AID was set up to muster an effort on scientific lines to organize activities for the welfare of the persons with physical and intellectual challenge. 
AMIABLE AID FOUNDATION was started by Mr. Manekshaw. Despite being a physically challenged and visually impaired person, with indefatigable spirit, he remains moving force to lead his organisation to the service of excellence. 
The highest civilian Award conferred to youth by the Government of India in recognition of the outstanding voluntary works rendered in the field of National development and social service is National Youth Award. Mr. Manekshaw received the award from His Excellency the President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
He is a recipient of SCROLL OF HONOUR.
He coordinated Guinness world record event of planting 2 54 464 saplings in 24 Hours on 1St – 2nd October 2005. 
Mr. Manekshaw is a dynamic officer at State Bank of India. 
Mr. Manekshaw has had the family history of Siddha medicine Practitioners and Astrology.
Mr. Manekshaw has started his spiritual pursuit initiated by a learned disciple of Pathanjali Maharishi at Rishikesh and progressing in Vaashi yoga of Swami Sivananda lineage.
