Nongdamba Leitanthem was born in Imphal, Manipur (India) and is the sixth child of Mr. Leitanthem Thoiba Meitei and Mrs. Prembala Devi. Due to his love for drawing and painting and his passion for art, he started practicing drawing and learned how to paint in his childhood. He has participated in many state, national and international-level painting competitions and has won many awards and recognition. He has painted many portraits and still continues to do so.
