B. Behera, Professor of Sambalpur University. He has completed two years (1989-1991) of post-doctoral research in a very challenging field like “Synthesis of C-Nucleosides, C-Nucleotides, and Evaluation of their Biological Properties as Potential Drug” in the direction of Prof. Stewart W. Schneller in the University of South Florida, Tampa, USA
He has been honoured with Young Scientist Award in 1997 by the then Orissa Chemical Society where he is a life member. He has published several research papers in the Indian Journal of Chemistry and Journal of Indian Chemical Society. He has presented papers in quite a good number of national and international seminars/symposia/conferences. He has completed more than thirty years of academic service as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Reader in Chemistry in different colleges under the Government of Odisha and got superannuated on 31.01.2019 from government service. He then concentrated his attention on ‘writing’ the beginning of a new chapter in his post-retirement life. On the 25th of November 2019 as a fiction writer on science, philosophy, and literature, Dr. Pradhan has self-published his maiden book titled, “Strength of Suffocation: An Inspiration to Move” with the aid of BlueRose Publishers Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi.
Being a proud citizen of independent India, Dr. Pradhan feels fastened by certain limitations of his choice. By keeping himself within the purview of these restrictions, he has almost failed to find immediate accomplishment. With these failures, he has tried to have acquired a little success after spending a lot of interest, energy, and involvement in overcoming too many odds and oppositions. He, therefore, enjoys his finding though less in quantity and/or quality.

Science is the scientific bent of mind in attitude and action any time anywhere. When the mind is incomplete and is in an evolving stage, to control over mind there is conscience which is again evolving. Science is made confined to matter. It is incomplete and needs to be spiritualized. The emergence of life from lifeless (though not proved yet by this limited science), the evolution of species in life, and transformation of human life to the Divine Life with Supramental Consciousness are among a few phases in the journey of life. Art, literature, and culture would be helpful to provide rest and hence to collect energy in case, life lingers on while proceeding on its spiritual path. What has happened so far, what is happening now, and what would happen in the future are all predestined. These can never be calculated by this incomplete human endeavor. So, the author feels convinced to convey the message behind the title, “Practicability: Steps Ahead of Probability” through various articles in the book.
“Let us be conscious to catch the outcome of Nature’s deed and try to make use of it to go into the root.”
